Ausgrid is seeking an experienced Leading Hand to coordinate field-based network activities and support safe overhead construction, maintenance and restoration work.

You will lead crews on site, ensure safety, quality and timely delivery, and provide technical guidance to staff and contractors while collaborating with field supervisors on planning and resource allocation. Based at Dee Why Depot, 7am to 3:30pm, permanent full-time.

Qualifications

• HRWL licences (eg C2 crane, dogging) required.
• HR or HC licence required.
• Electrical Safety Rules accreditation and ongoing statutory training.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively and complete written/system documentation.
• Experience in erecting/removing poles and leading staff preferred.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate field-based activities and crews to complete work safely to approved quality standards.
• Coordinate onsite activities and safety requirements (inductions, permits, SWMS, HACS, site docs).
• Monitor safe operation of plant, equipment and materials.
• Investigate, rectify and report overhead construction issues.
• Provide technical advice to employees, contractors and other workgroups.
• Assist Field Supervisors with planning, scheduling and resource allocation.
• Participate in emergency response and restoration activities.
• Assist with site assessments, estimating and quote preparation.
