Job summary

Eucalyptus is seeking a Regional Controller in Sydney to own end-to-end controllership for its international group, including treasury, AP and payroll, with responsibility for local Australian reporting and US GAAP reporting to the parent. The role is strategic and hands-on, setting up robust governance and a strong control environment.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified or equivalent such as ACA/ACCA/US CPA.
• Big 4 audit background with leadership experience.
• 15+ years in audit, financial control and group reporting.
• Experience in listed multinational environments (ASX/NYSE/NYSE).
• Strong IFRS/AASB knowledge and consolidation expertise.
• Experience designing or supporting SOX or internal control frameworks.
• Proven ability to lead finance teams across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong technical accounting capabilities and journal review skills.
• High attention to detail and disciplined balance-sheet ownership.
• Player-coach mindset with ability to challenge reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Close international group monthly, quarterly and annually per timetable.
• Lead group reporting to US GAAP close, consolidation inputs and commentary.
• Own local statutory reporting across Australia and other jurisdictions (IFRS/AASB).
• Lead technical memos on revenue, leases, intangibles, business combinations, and intercompany.
• Own external audits with Big 4 firms and manage audit issues.
• Align accounting policies and close processes with global requirements.
• Coach and develop the international accounting team.
• Oversee NetSuite and finance data quality across systems.
