Responsabilidades

Job Description

JW Air & Solar Pty Ltd Jadair Electrical is seeking a qualified and experienced Refrigeration Mechanic to join our team. If you are a hands‑on tradesperson with experience installing, maintaining and repairing refrigeration and air conditioning systems, we want to hear from you! Rostered Day Off Accrual. Competitive Rate: $85,000 to $100,000 per year, excluding superannuation Job security; having operated for over 30 years you know we won’t be packing up shop tomorrow. Full-time, permanent, and ongoing employment: 38 hours per week Support systems in place to support your drive to succeed.

Task & responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service and repair residential, commercial, or industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including split systems, ducted units, packaged units and cold storage equipment.
• Install, inspect and repair refrigeration pipework and associated mechanical piping systems. Read and interpret technical drawings, equipment specifications, diagrams and installation plans. Carry out pipe fabrication, brazing and other appropriate pipe‑joining work, including pressure testing and leak detection.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and refrigeration faults, identify defective components and carry out necessary repairs or replacements. Perform preventative maintenance, system commissioning and operational testing to ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently. Handle, recover and charge refrigerants in accordance with applicable licensing requirements and safe work practices.
• Inspect refrigeration systems and associated components to identify potential faults and prevent equipment breakdowns. Maintain accurate service records and report completed work, faults and additional repair requirements. Liaise with the team to arrange parts, equipment and consumables required for installation and repair work.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualification & experience

• Hold a recognised trade certificate as a Refrigeration Mechanic
• Have a minimum of three years of experience in refrigeration mechanics.
• Have a minimum of three years of experience in mechanical pipe fitting.
• Be familiar with workplace health and safety (WHS) and equal employment opportunity (EEO) principles and requirements.
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Demonstrated experience working with residential, commercial, and industrial refrigeration or air conditioning systems.
• Practical skills in fault diagnosis, component replacement, refrigeration pipework, brazing, pressure testing and system commissioning.
• Relevant refrigerant handling authorisation and any other licences required to perform the role.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A sound understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
