Job summary

Chilled Group Services Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a 1st or 2nd year refrigeration and air conditioning apprentice to join the installation team. You will work alongside qualified installers on commercial refrigeration projects across Sydney, learning on real-site jobs and attending TAFE as scheduled.

We offer above-award wages with overtime, structured on-the-job training, PPE and basic tools, and a clear path to a full-time qualified position with us after completion.

Qualifications

• Currently indentured in a 1st or 2nd year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprenticeship.
• White Card is required or willingness to obtain.
• Driver's licence preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist with pipework fabrication on commercial refrigeration projects.
• Support evaporator, condenser and controls installs.
• Learn system commissioning and leak testing.
• Keep site, tools and vehicle tidy and organized.
• Attend TAFE as scheduled.

About us

Chilled Group Services is an established commercial refrigeration contractor servicing major national clients across NSW - supermarkets, service stations and commercial facilities. We run dedicated install teams alongside our service division, with full office and management support behind them.

We're looking for a 1st or 2nd year apprentice to join our installation team and learn the trade properly, on real commercial work.

The role

You’ll be working alongside qualified installers on commercial refrigeration projects - supermarkets, coolrooms and plant installations across Sydney. Day to day you’ll be:

• Assisting with pipework fabrication,
• Running and supporting evaporator, condenser and controls installs
• Learning system commissioning and leak testing
• Keeping the site, tools and vehicle in order
• Attending TAFE as scheduled

You’ll be paired with experienced tradespeople who are used to teaching, not just handing you a broom.

What you'll need

• Currently indentured in a 1st or 2nd year Refrigeration & Air Conditioning apprenticeship, ready to transfer your training contract
• Good attitude, reliable, on time
• Willingness to learn and take direction
• Current driver's licence (preferred, not essential)
• White Card, or willingness to obtain
• Prior site experience on commercial or supermarket installs will be well regarded, but attitude matters more at this stage.
