Qualifications

• Trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or equivalent demonstrated experience.
• Strong knowledge of refrigeration cycles, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools, multimeters, refrigerant recovery equipment, and other specialised machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair refrigeration and beverage equipment to our commercial clients in fast food restaurants
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in refrigeration equipment using specialised testing equipment and tools
• Perform preventative maintenance on systems to ensure optimal performance and longevity
• Replace components such as compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems as required
• Test refrigerant levels and charge systems to manufacturer specifications
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations including proper handling and disposal of refrigerants
• Maintain detailed records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each job
• Communicate effectively with customers to explain issues, required repairs, and maintenance recommendations
• Work safely at heights and in confined spaces when necessary, adhering to all health and safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members and management to prioritise workload and meet service commitments

As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and installing refrigeration systems and beverage equipment for our diverse clientele across Sydney Metro and regions. What we're looking for

• Understanding of environmental and safety regulations governing refrigerant handling and disposal
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to client sites across the region
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour, including heavy lifting
• Preferred: Experience with commercial or industrial refrigeration systems, or additional qualifications in electrical work
