Job summary

NSW Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure is seeking a Referral Coordination and Assessment Officer to collaborate with stakeholders, assess referrals, and drive efficient planning outcomes.

You will coordinate referrals within the Development Coordination Authority, work with technical specialists, consent authorities and applicants, provide timely advice, manage enquiries and prepare recommendations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of planning, assessment or regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Ability to analyse information and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a range of referrals within the Development Coordination Authority.
• Work closely with technical specialists, consent authorities, applicants and government stakeholders.
• Provide timely advice, manage enquiries and problem solve.
• Prepare recommendations and help stakeholders navigate planning processes.
