Job summary

Summit Recruitment is seeking an experienced Recruitment Team Leader to guide our national labour hire function from the Smithfield Head Office. You will lead a high-volume blue-collar recruitment team across Australia and oversee after-hours operations to deliver 24/7 client service.

You will mentor staff, drive performance, and collaborate with Account Managers to exceed client expectations. Strong Bullhorn proficiency is essential for daily activity, reporting and workflows.

Summit Recruitment a blue-collar labour hire recruitment company is looking for an experienced Recruitment Team Leader to lead our national recruitment function from our Smithfield Head Office.

We're looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced labour hire environment, leads from the front, and does whatever it takes to get the job done.

You’ll lead a team responsible for high-volume blue-collar recruitment across Australia while also overseeing our after-hours recruitment function to ensure our clients receive exceptional service 24/7.

About the Role

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

Leading and mentoring your recruitment team

Managing high-volume recruitment orders across multiple states and industries

Overseeing our after-hours recruitment team and ensuring service excellence

Filling urgent client requirements across warehousing, logistics, transport, manufacturing, construction and industrial sectors

Working closely with Account Managers to ensure client expectations are exceeded

Driving recruitment performance, productivity and team KPIs

Coaching recruiters to improve sourcing, candidate management and time-to-fill

Maintaining candidate pipelines and ensuring compliance is completed accurately

Using Bullhorn daily to manage recruitment activity, reporting and workflows

Filling orders quickly with quality candidates

What We’re Looking For

This role is not suitable for recruiters without labour hire experience. To be successful you will have:

Extensive experience in blue-collar labour hire recruitment

Previous experience leading or mentoring recruitment teams

Hands on and operational, filling roles

High-volume recruitment experience across industrial, warehousing, logistics or manufacturing sectors

Strong working knowledge of Bullhorn (essential)

The ability to recruit at speed without compromising quality

Outstanding organisation and time management skills

A resilient, tenacious and solutions-focused attitude

Strong communication and leadership skills

A genuine passion for building high-performing teams who are service based
