Job summary

Healthia Hub Townsville is seeking an experienced and passionate Receptionist to join our multi-disciplinary clinic. This part-time role (minimum 26 hours per week) will be the first point of contact for clients and the friendly face of our clinic.

You will greet clients, schedule appointments, manage phone and email inquiries, process payments and health fund claims via HICAPS, and support a collaborative team delivering exceptional patient care.

Qualifications

• Allied health or medical reception experience preferred.
• Positive attitude and a team-first mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for our next admin superstar - someone organised, reliable, and passionate about delivering excellent care alongside our welcoming multi-disciplinary team.

This role will be on a part-time basis (minimum 26 hours per week), where the successful applicant will act as an information resource and ambassador to our patients, the general public, practitioners and team members.

As the first point of contact for our clients, you will:

Greet clients warmly and manage front desk operations.

Schedule appointments and handle phone and email enquiries.

Process payments and manage health fund claims via HICAPS.

Maintain accurate client records and ensure confidentiality.

Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to keep clinic operations running smoothly.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you’ll have allied health or medical reception experience, but a positive attitude is most important. We’re looking for someone who enjoys a fast-paced team environment and is confident meeting deadlines and contributing to team goals.

You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a team-first “can do” attitude, and a passion for excellent customer service. You’ll also be able to multitask, work under pressure, maintain strong attention to detail, use Microsoft Suite confidently, and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
