Job summary

JCUVet in Townsville is seeking a committed receptionist to join our team. You will provide reception, administrative and clerical support while liaising with clinical staff, customers and external veterinarians. This is a full-time on-site role with shift work, including nights and public holidays.

Experience as a receptionist, especially in health or veterinary settings, is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and adaptability to shifts are essential for success in this busy hospital

Qualifications

• Previous receptionist experience in healthcare or veterinary settings is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication is essential for client liaison.
• Strong written communication and administrative skills are required.
• Team player with interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Must be flexible to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-desk reception and administrative support to the clinic.
• Liaise with clinical staff, clients and external veterinarians.
• Schedule appointments, manage bookings and basic records.
• Assist with general administrative tasks and coordination of clinic activities.

About the role

We are seeking a receptionist to join the team at JCUVet! In this role, you will provide reception, administrative and clerical support whilst liaising with clinical staff, customers and external veterinarians.

This is a full time role working Monday - Friday. This role will involve shiftwork, working nights and public holidays.

• Previous experience as a receptionist (Preferably in a Veterinary or Health setting)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work shifts, including evenings and weekends.
