Job description

As the first point of contact for our clinic, you will be the friendly face that greets clients and their pets, helping create a welcoming and supportive experience from the moment they arrive. Our reception team plays a very important role in the lives of our clients. You will often be the first person pet owners speak to during many stages of their pet's life — from the excitement of bringing home a new puppy or kitten, to times of stress when a beloved pet is unwell, and sometimes during difficult moments of grief. Compassion, empathy, and kindness are essential in this role.

  • Processing payments and maintaining accurate client records
  • Supporting the veterinary team to ensure the smooth daily running of the clinic
About you
  • Previous reception or customer service experience is highly regarded. Experience in a veterinary clinic is advantageous but not essential — we welcome applicants with strong reception experience from other industries who are eager to learn.

  • Is well presented, punctual, and reliable
  • Is willing to go the extra mile for clients
  • Shows compassion and empathy when supporting clients through both happy and difficult moments
  • Can confidently follow established processes and procedures
  • Is flexible and adaptable, understanding the natural ebbs and flows of a busy veterinary practice
  • Remains calm and organised during busy periods
  • Works well as part of a team while also being proactive and self-motivated
  • Part-time or Full-time employment options available
  • A supportive and friendly team environment
  • The opportunity to work with people who genuinely care about animals and their owners
  • A varied role where no two days are the same
