Job summary

Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat is seeking a friendly Casual Reception & Guest Services Team Member to join a growing team in a beautiful regional location. You will be the first point of contact for guests, handle bookings for accommodation, golf, and dining, and support a small, close-knit team.

This casual role requires weekend and some public holiday availability. Full training will be provided, with potential to transition into permanent part-time or full-time as the business expands.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service focus and excellent communication abilities.

• Willingness to obtain/maintain an RSA certificate.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and assist with accommodation check-ins and check-outs.
• Handle phone enquiries and take bookings for accommodation, golf, restaurant, and functions.
• Assist golfers with bookings, green fees, cart hire, and merchandise sales.
• Process retail sales of snacks, beverages and golf-related products.
• Perform general administrative tasks, data entry, stock orders, and PO follow-ups.
• Complete end-of-day cash handling and reception procedures.
• Assist with golf cart movements, storage, and returns.
• Provide occasional food and beverage service when required.

Kangaroo Valley Golf & Country Retreat is seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Casual Reception & Guest Services Team Member to join our growing team.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional customer service. Previous customer service, hospitality, or reception experience is highly regarded, but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate. An interest in golf is a bonus, but certainly not a requirement.

About the Role

As part of our Reception & Guest Services team, you will be the first point of contact for guests and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

• Welcoming guests and assisting with accommodation check‑ins and check‑outs
• Handling phone enquiries and taking bookings for accommodation, golf, restaurant reservations, and functions
• Assisting golfers with bookings, green fees, cart hire, and merchandise sales
• Processing retail sales of snacks, beverages, and golf-related products
• Managing general administrative tasks, including data entry, ordering stock, raising purchase orders, and following up enquiries
• Completing end‑of‑day cash handling and reception procedures
• Assisting with golf cart movements, storage, and returns
• Providing occasional food and beverage service when required

Full training will be provided on all systems and procedures.

Availability

This is a casual position with hours varying according to business needs.

Availability to work weekends, public holidays, and occasional evenings is essential. Regular weekend shifts will form part of the roster, so flexibility is important.

For the right candidate, there may be an opportunity to transition into a permanent part‑time or full‑time position as the business continues to grow and expand.
