Job summary

Australian Radio Network (ARN) is seeking a proactive traffic editor to oversee its AI-driven traffic bulletin platform across Australian metro and regional markets. You will review scripts, ensure accuracy, and coordinate with News, Content and Technology teams to support new features and market rollouts.

You will apply strong editorial judgement in a fast-paced environment, maintain knowledge of local roads and pronunciation, and manage multiple markets with strict deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in radio, news, traffic, or real-time content.
• Strong editorial judgement under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Broadcast standards knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee AI traffic platform with local markets.
• Review scripts and audio for accuracy and tone.
• Correct or regenerate bulletins; activate fallbacks.
• Improve platform performance by logging corrections and updating rules.
• Maintain knowledge of roads, suburbs and pronunciation.
• Validate significant incidents using additional data sources.
• Manage multiple markets and deadlines in real-time.
• Collaborate with News, Content and Technology teams.
