Job summary

ARN in Melbourne is seeking a detail-driven traffic content editor to oversee its AI traffic platform, ensuring accurate, timely bulletins for metro and regional audiences. You will review scripts, correct or regenerate bulletins, and work with News, Content and Tech teams to rollout new features across markets.

A broadcast-quality voice and strong editorial judgment are essential. Experience in radio or real-time content, plus knowledge of Australian roads and local terminology, will help you

• Experience in radio or fast-paced, real-time content environments.
• Strong editorial judgement and ability to make quick decisions under deadlines.
• Broadcast-quality voice with clear presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to local audiences.

Responsibilities

• Oversee ARN’s AI traffic platform, ensuring accurate, timely and locally relevant traffic bulletins across metro and regional markets.
• Review scripts and audio for accuracy, relevance, pronunciation and tone before playout.
• Correct, reject or regenerate unsuitable bulletins, activating fallback and escalation processes when required.
• Improve platform performance by recording corrections, updating market rules and reporting recurring issues.
• Maintain strong knowledge of priority roads, suburbs, local terminology and pronunciation across Australian markets.
• Validate significant traffic incidents using additional data sources when required.
• Manage multiple markets and deadlines, prioritising urgent incidents in a fast-paced, real-time environment.
• Partner with News, Content and Technology teams to resolve quality issues and support new platform features and market rollouts.
