Job summary

EOS Space Systems Pty Ltd seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deliver software components for its high energy laser and space control systems. The role guides technical decisions and maintains system-level oversight across the software lifecycle, delivering customer-facing enhancements and UI/UX improvements.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, optical, and systems teams, implement DevOps practices, and contribute to visualization tools for operational use.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' experience in software development in complex engineering environments.
• Strong experience in C++ development on Windows and Linux.
• Proficient in Python for system development, automation, and data processing.
• Proven experience with software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system).
• Experience delivering high-availability, mission-critical software systems.
• Exposure to distributed processing and real-time systems (observatory/space domain).
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and automated deployment.
• Familiarity with safety-critical software and systems automation (hardware/firmware) desirable.
