Job summary

Heartwood Collection's Meadow Lark in Cambridgeshire is recruiting Night Managers and Night Porters to launch the new opening. You’ll oversee overnight guest experience, safety, and service for residents, with scope to progress as the estate grows.

The role suits reliable, detail-focused individuals who can work independently, handle late check-ins, audits, and maintain cleanliness and standards across the property.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience as a Night Manager in hospitality.
• Ability to work independently and manage safety and guest needs at night.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Handle late guest check-ins, early check-outs, and room allocations/upgrades through PMS
• Perform night audits, including fire, health and safety, security, and compliance checks; hand over with Management Team
• Ensure breakfast service preparation is completed and provide a shift handover
• Manage cleaning duties and oversee property cleanliness and standards
• Evacuate the property in case of fire alarm activation per procedures

Following a multi-million-pound refurbishment, The Meadow Lark is set to become one of Cambridgeshire’s most exciting premium pubs with rooms, and we’re looking for

Night Managers and Night Porters to join our opening team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of something special from day one. You’ll play an important role in looking after our guests overnight, ensuring the hotel remains safe, secure and welcoming, while providing excellent service to our residents.

Whether you’re an experienced Night Manager or looking to join us as a Night Porter, we’re looking for reliable, friendly and confident people who are comfortable working independently and taking pride in creating a great guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle late guest check-ins, early check-outs, and room allocations/ upgrades through the Property Management System (PMS)
• Perform night audits, including fire, health and safety, security, and compliance checks; collaborate and hand over with the Management Team
• Ensure breakfast service preparation is completed and provide a thorough shift handover
• Manage cleaning duties and oversee property cleanliness and standards
• Evacuate the property in case of fire alarm activation, following company procedures

About You:

• You’re responsible, reliable, and have a keen eye for details
• Well-organised and able to work with systems and communicate effectively
• Have the ability to work alone and solve problems independently
• 1-2 years' experience as a Night Manager in a hotel or hospitality setting
