Job summary

McMullen & Sons Ltd's Millstream in Hitchin is seeking a people-focused General Manager to lead the team and deliver the best pub experience.

This role includes developing the team, engaging guests through events and social media, managing finances, licensing, and health and safety compliance, with a well-appointed 3-bedroom manager’s flat as accommodation. You’ll work closely with an experienced Operations Manager and enjoy a supportive, family-friendly company culture.

Millstream in Hitchin

Location and Style

This is Chicken & Grill No. 11 and has been part of the McMullen’s family since 1914.

The Millstream is a rural delight on Hitchin’s outskirts, a beautiful pub with the river running right beside it. Offering dining alfresco or, when the sun goes home, by roaring fires inside.

Cosy nooks, crannies and private cubbies abound, making this a lovely spot in which to spend time with friends and family. Pop in for a swift lunch or take your time and relax over a fresh, slow-cooked Sunday roast, which is a speciality along with chargrilled meat cuts and hand-crafted local beers, cocktails, wines, terrific service and lots of smiles!
