Job summary

Norstar Steel Recyclers in Melbourne seeks a Reach Stacker operator to join our day shift. The role involves handling 20ft containers, loading via tilt loader, and operating Kalmar Reach Stacker on scrap handling lines.

The successful candidate will hold a current Reach Stacker ticket, work safely, follow instructions and be part of a small team. Training will be provided and permanent placement offered after probation.

Reach stacker operator / container loader - Metal Recycling

Norstar Steel Recyclers area well established, privately owned, market leading Victorian business that revolves around the recycling of scrap ferrous & non-ferrous metals, sourced from industrial, commercial anddomestic customers, supplying to international and domestic markets.

Currently we are seeking a Reach Stacker operator to fill a position on our day shift team. Ideally this would suit a person who has loaded 20ft containers using tilt loaders and scrap handling machines or be willing to train how to do so. What's on offer is an above award casual rate, applicable shift loadings and overtime plus superannuation. Permanent placement will be on offer after a successful probationary period.

The position will require some cleaning and manual handling duties on a daily basis.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn other processes within the business.

Applicants with excavator experience is an advantage but all training in operation of our machinery will be provided.
