Job summary

Norstar Steel Recyclers in Laverton, Victoria, seeks a worker to join the shredder team. This outdoor role supports daily production targets and operates across all weather conditions. Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The position starts on a casual basis with superannuation, with a view to permanency after a probation period. The role offers above industry pay and opportunities for overtime in a busy recycling facility.

Norstar Steel Recyclers isa well established, privately owned, market leading Victorian business that revolves around the recycling of scrap ferrous & non-ferrous metals, sourced from industrial, commercial anddomestic customers, supplying to international and domestic markets.

Laverton is our main processing facility.Working with the shredder production team you will work to meet daily production requirements. All relevant training will be provided to the successful candidate. Initially a casual rate is being offered, plus superannuation,with a view to permanency on offer after a probationary period.

This job is outdoors and subject to weather conditions.

Job tasks and responsibilities

• Picking contaminants off the shredder production belt.
• Ensure safe working procedures & efficient use of machinery at all times.

Skills and experience

• Skidsteer competency would be a bonus.
• A strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines and objectives.
• The ability to follow instruction & work unsupervised at times
• The ability to perform safe work practices at all times
• The ability to work in a team environment

Job benefits and perks

• Inreturn of your efforts you will be rewarded with an above industry hourly casual rate, full time working hours plus overtime, plus superannuation of 11%.
