Job summary

ParkstoneHR is assisting a well-established Australian transport and logistics business to recruit experienced Container Reach Stacker Operators for their Hallam operation. You will operate a late-model Kalmar 45-tonne Reach Stacker in a fast-paced yard, coordinating container movements and loading/unloading for inbound and outbound vehicles.

The role emphasizes safety, productivity and teamwork, with overtime available and permanent full-time employment offered on both morning and afternoon

Qualifications

• Current Reach Stacker (RS) Licence is required.
• Proven Reach Stacker operating experience.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
• Reliable and punctual work ethic; able to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading containers from semi-trailers.
• Container stacking and yard management.
• Conducting daily pre-start inspections.
• Following site safety and traffic management procedures.
• Completing operational paperwork accurately.
• Working closely with transport and warehouse teams.
• Maintaining a high standard of safety and compliance at all times.

Container Reach Stacker Operators - Morning Shift & Afternoon Shift

Our client is a well-established Australian transport and logistics business specialising in container handling, wharf cartage, warehousing and distribution.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Container Reach Stacker Operators to join their busy Hallam operation.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking experienced Container Reach Stacker Operators to join their busy Hallam operation.

Available Shifts
Morning Shift

• Monday to Friday

• 4:00am – 2:00pm

• $36.225 per hour

Afternoon Shift

• Monday to Friday

• 2:00pm – Finish

• $42.55 per hour

Both positions are offered on a permanent full-time basis, with regular overtime available.

About the Role

Operating a late-model Kalmar 45-tonne Reach Stacker, you will join a busy and highly professional transport and warehousing operation. Working within a fast-paced container yard environment, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of containers throughout the site.

The primary objective of this role is to safely coordinate container movements throughout the yard, including the loading and unloading of full and empty containers onto inbound and outbound vehicles.

You will play a critical role in the success of the operation, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of containers while maintaining a strong focus on productivity, compliance and workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Following site safety and traffic management procedures

• Current Reach Stacker (RS) Licence

• Proven Reach Stacker operating experience

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Excellent communication skills

• A positive attitude and willingness to work overtime when required
