CBCity in NSW is seeking a Team Leader – Rates Operations to oversee the Rates Management Team, guiding Senior Rating Officers and supporting the Coordinator Rates in statutory responsibilities. The role emphasizes compliance, accuracy, and efficient delivery to ensure high-quality rating services.

You will lead a skilled team, manage rate modelling and levy processes, and contribute to continuous improvement within the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in local government rating and revenue functions and a commitment to professional growth, including rates modelling and annual levy processes.
• Proven Rates leadership capability, supervising and developing a diverse team.
• Knowledge of the Local Government Act 1993 and ability to apply relevant legislation.

Responsabilités

• Lead, mentor, and develop Senior Rating Officers to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Oversee rates modelling, levy processes, and year-end rate changes.
• Manage production of Rates & Charges Notices including instalments and reminders.
• Identify and implement process improvements and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
• Collaborate with government agencies to fulfil rating obligations and maintain cross-team communication.
• Provide strategic financial analysis and support for long-term planning.
