Job summary

Northern Beaches Council is seeking a Ranger (Ordinance) to lead investigations and enforcement across multiple areas, with a focus on compliance with policies and legislation. The role is permanent, full-time and 38 hours per week, based on the Northern Beaches.

You will manage proactive investigations, train and mentor the Rangers team, and contribute to community safety and environmental compliance within the council.

Qualifications

  • Experience in investigations or enforcement desirable.

  • Ability to work in a team and under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead investigations and enforcement activities across multiple areas to ensure policy and legislative compliance.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and collaboration with the Rangers group and other authorities.
  • Provide training and mentorship to Rangers to enhance investigative methodologies.
  • Ensure high professional standards in investigations and documentation.

Job description

Title: Ranger (Ordinance),Permanent - Full-time Role, 38hours per week

Salary Range: $96,309.15 to $111,927.21 per annum + super (subject to skills and experience)

About you:
We are looking for a Ranger (Ordinance) officer responsible for leading investigations and enforcement activities across several areas, with a primary focus on ensuring compliance with Council policies and relevant legislation. You will be working on a pro-active team that is intelligence led and able to operational areas requiring a focussed response.
You will be responsible for leading investigations and maintaining a high standard of investigation. Additionally, you will be guiding and supporting the Rangers team through training and mentorship programs aimed at enhancing their proficiency in investigative methodologies.
