Job summary

Lane Cove Council is seeking a motivated Ranger to implement its regulatory and compliance program, reporting to the Senior Ranger. The role involves interpreting legislative instruments and providing guidance to stakeholders while maintaining high standards of service.

The successful candidate will hold safety and dog control certificates, including White Card and First Aid, and work to support a safe, inclusive community aligned with Council priorities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to interpret legislative instruments and provide clear advice to stakeholders.
• White card, First Aid, chainsaw, and dog control certificates required.
• Traffic control certification and TMP knowledge expected.
• Commitment to high level customer service and effective complaint handling.

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Ranger, you will be responsible for implementing Council's program of regulatory and compliance control.

The successful candidate will have:

• Demonstrated experience working in a similar role;
• White card
• First Aid Certificate
• Chainsaw Cross-Cut Certificate
• Dangerous Dog Apprehension and Transport Certificate
• Traffic Control Certificate/Card (Stop Slow/Implement TMP)
• Proven strong analytical skills with experience interpreting legislative instruments and effectively communicating advice to stakeholders; and
• Demonstrated commitment to high level customer service with proven effective complaints handling, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
