Job summary

Great Ocean Road Coast and Parks Authority is seeking a Ranger Leading Hand to support high-quality land management, conservation and visitor services across parks and reserves along the Great Ocean Road. You will work under the Ranger Team Leader to coordinate day-to-day field activities, ensuring safe, efficient on-ground programs and works.

The role combines practical field expertise with leadership, coordinating Rangers, seasonal staff and contractors, and delivering conservation projects,

Qualifications

• Experience supervising teams in ranger services or land management.
• Strong planning and project delivery skills with competing priorities.
• Experience overseeing contractors, procurement and budgets.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement with diverse groups.
• Knowledge of WHS, risk management and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver land management, conservation and visitor services across parks and reserves.
• Coordinate day-to-day field activities under the Ranger Team Leader.
• Support delivery of conservation works, visitor infrastructure and asset maintenance.
• Engage with Traditional Owners, community groups and stakeholders.
