Job summary

Parks Victoria is seeking a Ranger Team Leader to guide a team of Rangers and Customer Service Officers in delivering outstanding visitor experiences at the Grampians area.

You will lead on-ground management of Parks Victoria's estate, aligning with priorities, policies and procedures to protect environmental and cultural values while maximizing visitor enjoyment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Rangers and Customer Service Officers to deliver outstanding visitor experiences.

• Deliver education programs for visitors and schools.
• Collaborate with traditional owners in park planning and programs.
• Oversee commercial operations including event permits and retail services.
• Provide park information with high-quality customer service to visitors.
• Contribute to compliance and enforcement activities as required.

As a Ranger Team Leader, you are responsible for leading the on-ground management of Parks Victoria's estate, consistent with organisational priorities, policies and procedures, ensuring that people can enjoy the outdoors and protecting the things that make our parks and reserves so special.

You will lead a team in delivering a variety of projects and services including (but not limited to): engagement with the community, volunteers, licensed tour operators; the delivery of education programs; working with Traditional Owners; commercial operations including event permits and retail services; providing park information through high quality customer service; and compliance and enforcement activities.

Ranger Team Leaders are also encouraged to participate in Victoria's fire and emergency management arrangements as part of Forest Fire Management Victoria.
