Job summary

Aurizon has an exciting opportunity for a Yard Planner to join the team in Adelaide. In this role, you will coordinate train crew and yard operations to support the productive and cost‑effective deployment of resources, and ensure planned train service and maintenance activities are delivered on time.

You will also oversee day‑to‑day rolling stock movements and monitor day‑of‑operations changes to keep yard activities aligned to the daily and forecast schedule.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Frontline Management or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in planning or operations within a large-scale logistics or heavy industrial environment preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage allocation, utilisation and deployment of production resources to execute the yard plan.
• Develop and manage processes that improve supply chain performance and daily schedule.
• Support team development with clear goals and measurable objectives.
• Provide coaching and support to operational employees to achieve performance targets.
