Job summary

Aurizon in Ceduna, SA is seeking Electrical Tradespeople to join the Rollingstock Maintenance team. You will inspect, fault-find, service and repair locomotives, wagons, plant and infrastructure to keep assets safe and reliable for freight operations across the network.

We’re after trade-qualified teammates with a strong safety mindset who can interpret schematics, work across shifts and support apprentices within a collaborative maintenance environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate (mandatory).
• Valid A-Class Electrical Licence.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation.
• Flexibility to work across various shifts – roster details discussed at interview.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.
• Committed to safe work practices and team-based maintenance.
• Unrestricted C-Class Driver’s Licence.
• Physically fit and able to meet rail medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Performing scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs on rollingstock and support plant
• Fault-finding using schematics, drawings, tools and diagnostic equipment
• Working on electrical systems within your trade scope
• Undertaking train examinations and operating fixed/mobile plant as needed
• Supporting derailment recovery and field response work when required
• Accurately completing work orders and following safety procedures
• Providing on-the-job support or guidance to apprentices or other team members
