Job summary

Progress Rail is seeking an Asset Schedule professional to provide planning and scheduling support for multiple locomotive fleets. Based at a Progress Rail maintenance facility in NSW, you will interface with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain and Heavy Maintenance workshops across the region.

You will manage locomotive maintenance schedules, depots, and overhaul programs, working with multiple contracts and third-party suppliers, ensuring safe, on-time delivery and data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance of PC-based systems and tools.
• Strong ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
• Collaborate across multi-functional teams to achieve objectives within timelines.
• Proven track record delivering on time and to quality standards.
• Significant ERP and Microsoft systems experience (Excel, PowerPoint, D365).
• Knowledge of quality processes and systems.
• Related discipline preferred, with experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage multiple locomotive maintenance schedules (LMR).
• Create and manage maintenance plan across multiple depots (LMI).
• Schedule overhaul and MPM programs through Cardiff Heavy workshop.
• Schedule PM and CM work through facilities at Cardiff, Port Kembla, Clyde, Enfield, Parkes, Cootamundra & Werris Creek.
• Manage 3rd party locomotive maintenance suppliers.
• Manage variations across multiple contracts.
• Track fleet wheel wear and wheel lathe bookings.
• Report locomotive performance across contracts.
• High priority work order management and on-time rail safety delivery.
• Engineering fleet-wide repair and mods management.
• Plan vs actual data analysis.
• Manage TRAX and D365 work items.
• Assist with annual major periodic maintenance budgets.
