Job summary

Bowen Rail is seeking an Operations Superintendent (Training) to lead safety-driven training governance, competency frameworks and the Trainee Train Driver program in Bowen. You will oversee the development and verification of competency for train drivers, trainee drivers and maintenance personnel, coordinating with internal teams and external providers.

Qualifications

• Experience leading safety- and competency-driven training in rail, mining or heavy industry.
• Ability to design, implement and review training governance and documentation.
• Proven capability to develop and manage a competency framework and training needs analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety and training governance across Rail Operations to ensure compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement in training and competency aligned with KPIs.
• Manage external training providers, including RTO delivery and scheduling.
