Job summary

Wabtec Global Freight Services is hiring a locomotive technical advisor in Dampier, WA. You will support RTIO rail maintenance, troubleshoot EVO/FDL locomotives, and lead field modifications with a customer-centric approach.

Reporting to the Technical Team Manager, you will coordinate training, provide engineering support, and work with global teams to drive reliability and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience working within the Rail Industry preferably on Wabtec locomotives.
• Recent experience maintaining and troubleshooting EVO & FDL locomotives.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems with customer focus.
• Strong customer service mindset and oral/written communication skills.
• Own technical decisions on site regarding product performance.

Responsibilities

• Responding to RTIO requests for troubleshooting, failure analysis, field modification oversight, and engineering support.
• Providing training and assistance to customer on product maintenance, troubleshooting and repair.
• Track product performance metrics and recommend continuous improvement.
• Coordinate field modifications and monitor effectiveness.
• Perform joint investigation of failed components with the customer for warranty administration.
• Interact with Wabtec teams worldwide on issues, product development and training.
• Ensure timely resolution of customer issues and satisfaction.
• Report project updates and customer monthly meetings.
