Job summary

Aurizon is seeking Electrical Tradespeople to join the Rollingstock Maintenance team in Thevenard, Ceduna, South Australia. You will perform inspections, fault-finding and repairs to locomotives, wagons, and support plant, ensuring safety and reliability for freight operations across the network.

The role requires an Electrical Trade Certificate and an unrestricted C-Class Licence, with flexibility across shifts and the ability to work with schematics and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate is mandatory.
• Valid A-Class Electrical Licence is required.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation.
• Unrestricted C-Class Driver’s Licence.
• Physically fit and able to meet rail medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, fault-finding, servicing and repairs across locomotives, wagons, plant and infrastructure.
• Use trade skills to ensure assets are safe and reliable for freight operations.
• Complete work orders accurately and follow safety procedures.
• Provide on-the-job support or guidance to apprentices or other team members.
• Undertake train examinations and operate fixed/mobile plant as needed.
• Support derailment recovery and field response work when required.
