Job summary

Aurizon is seeking Electrical Tradespeople to join the Rollingstock Maintenance team in Thevenard, Ceduna, South Australia. You will perform inspections, fault-finding and repairs to locomotives, wagons, and support plant, ensuring safety and reliability for freight operations across the network.

The role requires an Electrical Trade Certificate and an unrestricted C-Class Licence, with flexibility across shifts and the ability to work with schematics and technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Electrical Trade Certificate is mandatory.
• Valid A-Class Electrical Licence is required.
• Ability to interpret schematic diagrams and technical documentation.
• Unrestricted C-Class Driver’s Licence.
• Physically fit and able to meet rail medical requirements.

Responsibilities

Job description

We’re looking for Electrical Tradespeople to join our Rollingstock Maintenance team in Thevenard, Ceduna, South Australia.

• Performing scheduled maintenance and reactive repairs on rollingstock and support plant
• Fault-finding using schematics, drawings, tools and diagnostic equipment
• Working on electrical systems within your trade scope
• Undertaking train examinations and operating fixed/mobile plant as needed
• Supporting derailment recovery and field response work when required
• Accurately completing work orders and following safety procedures
• Providing on-the-job support or guidance to apprentices or other team members

About you:

We’re after trade-qualified team players with a strong safety mindset and a hands-on approach.
