Job summary

Australian Rail Track Corp. (ARTC) seeks a Project Engineer – Rerailing to support a safe, efficient rerailing program across the national freight network.

Based mainly at Mile End, Adelaide, the role blends project planning with site delivery and occasional interstate travel to support on-site works. Ideal candidates have engineering or related discipline qualifications and knowledge of track, civil or structures environments, with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience or exposure to engineering maintenance, construction or design within track, civil or structures environments would be highly regarded.
• Strong organisational and written/verbal communication skills with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of scopes of work for delivery by contractors and internal resources.
• Provide reporting on workforce, plant and equipment requirements to support effective project planning and resourcing.
• Monitor and review the safety performance of contractors and project resources.
• Monitor contractor performance against project plans, quality requirements and value-for-money expectations.
• Review safety-critical contractor documentation and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
• Assist with the identification, monitoring and reporting of project risks.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
• Promote compliance with ARTC safety, people and workplace policies and procedures.
