Our Operations team works with a diverse customer base to support several nationally significant supply chains. With management responsibility spanning across five states, our 8,500km rail network is used to transport bulk products, passenger and general freight, including steel and a vast array of consumer items such as groceries, electrical goods and other items for both import and export markets.
The Operations teams work within several complex and challenging environments, including some of the busiest rail corridors in Australia to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable service delivery outcomes for its customers, stakeholders and the community.

We are seeking a Project Engineer – Rerailing to support the safe, efficient and high-quality delivery of our rerailing program across the ARTC national freight network. Based primarily at our Mile End office in Adelaide, this role combines project planning and technical support with site-based delivery activities. Infrequent and planned interstate travel will be required to support onsite works. This opportunity would suit an engineer with rail, civil, construction or maintenance experience, however we also welcome applications from early-career engineers looking to develop their technical and project delivery capability. On-the-job support and formal training will be provided to help you grow into the role. Working closely with the Project Manager, contractors, internal teams and key stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise and project support to help ensure rerailing works are delivered safely, efficiently and in accordance with project requirements. You will contribute to the development of scopes of work, monitor project and contractor performance, review safety-critical documentation and provide reporting on project risks, resources and delivery performance.
