Job summary

ARTC in Adelaide is seeking a Project Engineer – Rerailing to support the safe and efficient delivery of rerailing works on the national freight network. Based mainly at the Mile End office, the role blends project planning, technical support and site delivery with occasional interstate travel.

You will work with the Project Manager, contractors and internal teams to develop scopes, monitor performance and report risks.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience or exposure to engineering maintenance/construction in track, civil or structures.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities in a structured way.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement capability.
• A current Class C Driver's Licence.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of scopes of work for delivery by contractors and internal resources.
• Provide reporting on workforce, plant and equipment to support project planning.
• Monitor safety performance of contractors and project resources.
• Review contractor performance against project plans and quality requirements.
• Review safety-critical documentation and provide feedback for improvement.
• Identify, monitor and report project risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors and stakeholders for successful delivery.
