Job summary

Aurizon is seeking an experienced leader to guide and empower a front-line team at Jilalan Wagon facility. The role supports the Superintendent in delivering safe, planned operational performance and is based in Sarina (Jilalan) with a rotating shift roster.

You will engage teams to design resources, promote continuous improvement, and achieve safety, quality, cost, and on-time delivery goals while building a positive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in Mechanical and/or Metal Fabrication & Welding.
• Strong leadership and engagement skills with ability to foster an inclusive work environment.
• Experience planning work, labour allocation, and ensuring the right tools and resources.
• Proven ability to build professional relationships and lead safety-focused teams.
• Tertiary Frontline Management qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and enable front-line teams to execute safe, well-resourced work.
• Drive continuous improvement and development to meet safety, cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Investigate incidents and contribute to prevention and risk control.
• Ensure teams have the right tools/resources and clear performance expectations.
• Foster collaborative culture and manage performance and behaviours.
