Job summary

Aurizon is seeking an experienced, safety‑driven site leader to engage and enable our front‑line teams at the Jilalan Wagon facility in Sarina. You will support the Superintendent in delivering the planned operational performance and manage a rotating shift roster while focusing on safe, efficient outcomes.

You will drive continuous improvement, ensure teams have the right tools and knowledge, and build a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Trade qualified in mechanical and/or metal fabrication and welding.
• Experience leading front-line teams and driving safety.
• Willingness to undergo pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Engage and enable front-line teams to deliver safely by ensuring the plan is well designed and resourced.
• Guide and empower teams towards continuous improvement and safe execution.
• Lead teams to achieve cost, quality, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction goals.
• Identify improvement ideas from teams and recognise collaboration and high performance.
• Ensure tools, resources and knowledge are in place with clear safety expectations.
• Foster a positive, collaborative culture and address underperformance.
• Take responsibility for incident investigations and produce timely, factual reports to prevent recurrence.
