Job summary

Mackay Radiology, part of the IDX Group, is seeking a dedicated Radiology Nurse to join a prominent diagnostic imaging provider. You will deliver high standards of patient care across multiple imaging modalities, under the Nurse in Charge, contributing to patient comfort and safety in interventional radiology procedures.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current APHRA Registration.
• IV Cannulation experience preferred.
• Advanced Life Support preferred, but not essential.
• Ability to respond effectively in emergency situations and effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to liaise with a diverse range of medical professionals.
• Proven ability to contribute to and work as part of a dynamic team in addition to operating independently.
• Excellent personal presentation.
• Previous surgical or radiology experience would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high standard of care and service to our patients, technical staff and Radiologists.
• Ensure Workplace Health and Safety practices are always understood and observed in the workplace.
• Admission, monitoring and recovery of patients undergoing a variety of interventional procedures such as biopsy's, vascular access devices, pain management, stents and drainages.
• These are performed across multiple modalities such as Ultrasound, CT, MRI and Nuclear Medicine.
• PICC line insertion (training will be provided).
• Sound knowledge and application for post procedure care, recovery and discharge.
