Job summary

GenesisCare in Rockhampton is offering 4, 8 and 12-week opportunities for Radiation Therapists to join a friendly, regional team. Accommodation and return flights are provided for the duration of your contract.

Experience life in Central Queensland with a supportive clinical group and exposure to specialist techniques including DIBH and SABR, while delivering high-quality patient care across a diverse caseload.

Qualifications

• A relevant qualification in Radiation Therapy.
• Current registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA.
• Strong clinical and technical skills.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• A passion for providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatment and patient care.
• Demonstrate clinical and technical competence appropriate to level of experience.
• Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and local teams, including specialists from Brisbane.
• Engage with First Nation Health professionals and Cancer Care Coordinators.
• Contribute to a positive, safe and supportive team environment.

More Specifically, You Will

• Deliver high-quality radiation therapy treatment and patient care
• Demonstrate clinical and technical competence appropriate to your level of experience
• Work collaboratively with Radiation Oncologists and local clinical and support teams, including Head and Neck Specialists from Brisbane
• Collaboration with First Nation Health professionals, Cancer Care Coordinators, and Specialist Prostate and Breast Nurses
• Contribute to a positive, safe and supportive team environment
• Gain experience across a diverse caseload and specialist treatment techniques
• Patient load is around 60 patients per day, across two machines

• A relevant qualification in Radiation Therapy
• Current registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA
• Strong clinical and technical skills
• The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• A passion for providing exceptional patient care
