Job summary

GenesisCare at Mater Hospital is seeking a part-time Radiation Therapist for a 12-month role (3 days per week) to deliver high-quality radiotherapy care as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy and current professional registration.
• Demonstrated knowledge of radiotherapy modalities and techniques.
• Excellent teamwork and communication within a multidisciplinary clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Undertake radiation therapy planning, treatment delivery and related clinical duties.
• Contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team environment within the centre and GenesisCare network.
• Ensure safe and accurate administration of all radiotherapy processes and procedures.
• Complete clinical administration and documentation accurately and timely.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold best-practice patient care.

More specifically, you will:

• Personally undertake radiation therapy planning, treatment delivery and associated clinical duties.
• Promote and contribute to an effective multidisciplinary team environment within the centre and across the broader GenesisCare network.
• Ensure the safe and accurate administration of all radiation therapy processes and procedures.
• Complete all clinical administration and documentation requirements accurately and in a timely manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and uphold best practice patient care standards.

We’re looking for someone who has:

• Demonstrated technical competence across all areas of radiotherapy practice, including treatment, simulation and planning.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary radiotherapy modalities and techniques.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Strong empathy, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Sound knowledge of radiotherapy and associated healthcare services.
• Bachelor’s degree in Radiation Therapy or equivalent qualification.
• Current registration as a Radiation Therapist with AHPRA.
• Current Australian Radiation Use Licence (state specific requirements apply).
