Job summary

Icon Cancer Centre Australia Geelong is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our team on an 8-month part-time contract, delivering radiation oncology nursing care in a collaborative, research‑driven environment. The role involves assessing, planning and implementing patient care for those receiving radiotherapy, reporting to the Nurse Manager and supporting clinical trials and new therapies.

You will work two days a week, maintain current AHPRA registration, and contribute to exceptional patient

Qualifications

• Experience in Radiation Oncology or Medical Oncology is highly desirable.
• Current AHPRA Nursing registration.
• Ability to apply excellent communication and problem-solving skills with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Provision of patient centred radiation oncology cancer care to patients and families.
• Monitor and treat patients for illness or side effects.
• Maintain standards by following best practice protocols and guidelines.
• Support Nurse Manager in day-to-day operations and care planning.
• Support implementation of new systems, therapies and clinical trials.
