Job summary

Icon Group’s Icon Cancer Centre Adelaide, SA, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a growing, research-focused cancer care team and provide specialist oncology nursing care to patients. The role is permanent with part-time or full-time options and flexible hours, located at the Tennyson Centre, Kurralta Park, Adelaide.

Qualifications

Hold current registration with AHPRA.
Recent experience in Oncology Nursing desirable but not essential; training will be provided on induction (surgical nursing also highly regarded).
Demonstrate a commitment to the provision of exceptional patient care.
Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
Demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of high-quality patient care and service.

Responsibilities

Contribute expert advice and demonstrate contemporary nursing knowledge and skill in oncology nursing practice.
Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions.
Patient assessment, observation and education including management of treatment side effects.
Inserting and care of peripheral and central access devices.
Assist doctors with procedures and provide pre/post procedure care and education.
Maintain and update patients' written and electronic records.
Provide emotional support to patients, families and carers.
Support the Nurse Manager in daily operations.
Support a high-performance culture delivering quality patient care through collaboration.
