Job summary

Dulux Acratex, part of DuluxGroup, is seeking an experienced Research & Development Chemist in Australia to drive the next generation of coating technologies. You will actively formulate, test, and develop products in collaboration with scientists and cross‑functional teams, initially focusing on cementitious render products with growth into other coatings as your experience expands.

You will improve existing formulations, contribute to new innovations, solve technical challenges, and deliver

Qualifications

• Degree qualifications in Chemistry, Applied Science or related STEM disciplines.
• Formulation experience, ideally within coatings, paints or related industries.
• Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting and leveraging data insights.
• Proven problem‑solving capability and a structured approach to root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills.
• Highly organised, detail‑oriented and committed to quality outcomes.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
• Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.

Responsibilities

• Develop the next generation of coating technologies to support Acratex's market-leading position.
• Hands-on R&D role: formulation, testing and product development with cross-functional teams.
• Focus on cementitious render products with potential expansion into other coating technologies.
