Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Australia is seeking a chemistry-trained laboratory professional to deepen understanding of key account coating processes and evaluate new technologies within the ANZ Packaging Group.

You will assist in resolving customer issues through laboratory investigations, perform supervised formulation modifications, and contribute to new product development across ANZ and Asia. Strong documentation and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or higher.
• 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Good communication and writing skills.
• Good understanding of Microsoft software.
• Good understanding of database systems.
• Coating related working experience.

Responsibilities

• Developing a complete understanding of key account processes and coating needs.
• Develop an understanding of current technology and methodology used for coating evaluation within the ANZ Packaging Group.
• Assist in resolving customer issues and complaints through effective laboratory investigation of issues and solutions.
• Carry out, under supervision, formulation modifications that will ensure improvements required are achieved to maintain current business (MOB).
• Carry out, under supervision, new product development work that will meet the current and future needs of the customers, in ANZ and in Asia.
• Work with ANZ team members to provide support for current product range, including order processing, product shelf-life extensions and technical reports.
• Maintenance of laboratory equipment, supplies and general housekeeping.
• Maintenance of technical documents as instructed. TDS and SDS.
