ONCALL Language Services invites a dynamic State Manager to lead our Queensland operations from Bowen Hills, Brisbane. You will inherit an established client base, lead a local team and drive growth by expanding markets and partnerships while delivering exceptional service and technology-enabled language solutions.

The role emphasizes relationship building with senior decision-makers across healthcare, government, and commercial sectors, with accountability for revenue and long-term performance.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in business development, account management, service delivery or commercial operations.
• Strong commercial mindset with experience managing revenue, budgets or P&L.
• Ability to connect with people, build trust and develop long-term relationships.
• Creative, proactive approach to business growth and opportunity creation.
• Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing decisions.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth: Identify new markets, develop creative business development strategies and convert opportunities into lasting partnerships.
• Build meaningful relationships: Engage with senior executives and decision-makers across healthcare, government, justice and commercial sectors.
• Lead an established business: Take ownership of Queensland's commercial performance, building on existing success while identifying new opportunities.
• Champion innovation: Introduce clients to ONCALL's expanding range of technology-enabled interpreting, translation and accessibility solutions.
• Be the face of ONCALL in Queensland: Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, networking opportunities and client meetings.
• Support and inspire people: Work closely with our local team, interpreter workforce and national colleagues to create a positive, collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Deliver commercial results: Take accountability for revenue growth, profitability, customer satisfaction and long‑term business performance.
• Shape our future: Contribute to strategic planning, tender opportunities and initiatives that support our national growth ambitions.
