Job summary

Barro Group's Mt Cotton Quarry is seeking a pragmatic Quarry Weighbridge Operator to join a small team and support on-site operations. You will operate the weighbridge, schedule truck loads, assist with contractor inductions, handle day-to-day admin, and deliver friendly customer service while following safety systems.

Flexible hours including regular Saturday mornings are available; reliable attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in trucking, quarrying or transport industries as a driver, operator or administrator.
• Hands-on role requiring customer service experience.
• Able to schedule loads and handle administrative tasks.

Mt Cotton Quarry, a part of Barro Group– is seeking to engage a Quarry Weighbridge Operator.

Excellent base wage + overtime and leave accruals.

We are looking for a hands on person who likes customer service and has most probably had a previous background in the trucking, quarrying or transport industries as either a driver, operator or administrator.

The key responsibilities:

• Operate computer-based weighbridge system - taking accurate customer phone orders and effecting delivery of products
• Schedule truck loads
• Assit with some quarry safety inductions for contractors, truck drivers and visitors
• Undertake day-to-day administration activities
• Multi task and at times work under pressure to meet customer requirements
• Answer phone calls and provide customer support
• Work as part of a small team
• Work flexible hours including regular Saturday mornings
• Must be reliable and punctual
• Follow company systems including working safely
