Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Operator for Sancrox Quarry, near Port Macquarie, NSW. You will operate and maintain plant and machinery, with a strong focus on safety and efficiency across the site.

Ideal candidates bring experience with excavators, loaders, dump trucks, and crushing/screening plants, plus a current Australian driver's licence. A pre-employment medical clearance is required.

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and a solid work ethic.
• Current Australian Provisional or Open Driver's Licence.
• Mechanical aptitude and an interest in heavy machinery.
• Previous quarrying or mining experience is highly regarded.
• Relevant machinery tickets for excavator, front-end loader and dump truck desirable.
• Weighbridge experience is advantageous.
• Confident with computers and learning new systems.
• Able to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening.

Quarry Operator – Sancrox Quarry

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking an experienced and safety-focused Quarry Operator to join our team at Sancrox Quarry, located approximately 15 minutes from Port Macquarie, New South Wales. This is a full-time position reporting to the Quarry Manager, working Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday shifts as required. Standard start time is 6:30am, with shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours, offering strong earning potential.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting day-to-day operation and basic maintenance of plant, vehicles, and equipment
• Operating mobile equipment, including excavators, front-end loaders, and dump trucks (experience preferred)
• Operating crushing and screening plants
• Assisting with weighbridge operations
• Performing general maintenance and contributing as a versatile quarry all-rounder

About You

• A strong commitment to workplace safety and a solid work ethic
• A current Australian Provisional or Open Driver's Licence
