Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is hiring a Quarry Operator for Clarence Quarry in the Blue Mountains near Lithgow, NSW. This permanent full-time role reports to the Quarry Supervisor and offers Monday to Friday work with overtime and occasional Saturdays.

You will operate mobile equipment including Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator, run the sand washing plant, and perform general fixed plant inspections and maintenance, contributing to a safe and productive quarry operation.

Qualifications

• Valid tickets and experience operating Loader, Dump Truck and Excavator.
• Total commitment to Zero Harm and Safety Leadership.
• Adherence to fixed and mobile plant pre-start and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to work in a small team or unsupervised.

We have an opportunity for aQuarry Operator to join our team atClarence Quarry located within the Blue Mountains nearLithgow, New South Wales.

Reporting to the Quarry Supervisor this is a permanent full-time role, working Monday to Friday with ample opportunity for overtime and potential Saturday work.

We are seeking applicants who have a passion for safety and value strong work ethic, as well as be willing and able to work a varied role in sand washing plant operations and general maintenance activities.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Operate mobile equipment including Dump Trucks, Front End Loaders and Excavators
• Operate the sand washing plant
• General fixed plant inspections & maintenance
• During busy periods we expect all employees to pitch in and perform any/all quarry tasks where needed

This role is a great fit for you if you have:

• Strict adherence to fixed and mobile plant pre-start & maintenance procedures

What we offer:

• Base hourly rate from $35.54 and up to $39.35 - pending qualifications & experience + overtime rates + super
• Shifts start at 6am and working 8-10 hours, on average. Usually, a 4pm finish.
