Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Operator for Wollert Quarry in VIC, ~45 minutes north of Melbourne. This full-time role offers rostered half-day Saturday shifts, with overtime as needed.

You will operate heavy equipment, perform routine maintenance, and carry out general labour tasks while adhering to OH&S standards and the company’s values. Training opportunities and career development are available.

Qualifications

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Total commitment to risk management and OH&S.
• Positive work ethic and alignment with Heidelberg Materials values.
• Experience in Quarrying, Mining or similar heavy industry environment.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment.
• Operate a heavy vehicle (Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump Truck). If no ticket, Heidelberg Materials Australia will provide training and certification for the right candidate.
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shovelling.
