Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a self-motivated Quarry Operator for the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC. The role involves day-to-day operation and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, and contributing to safe quarry operations.

You will operate heavy machinery, perform general labour tasks, and work both independently and as part of a team. Overtime and weekend work may be required depending on business needs.

Qualifications

• Solid interpersonal and communication skills.
• Total commitment to risk management and OH&S.

• Excavator/Front End Loader/Dump truck tickets are advantageous.
• Experience in quarrying or mining.
• Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team.

Operate and Assist Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia. We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC, approx. 2 hours drive North of Melbourne CBD. This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In your new role with us, you will:

• Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Operate a heavy machinery such as excavator, front end loader, dump truck & grader. (Experience preferred)
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling and general quarry maintenance
