Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Australia is seeking a Quarry Operator to join the Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC. You will operate and maintain heavy equipment and support safe, efficient quarry activities.

This full-time role offers overtime opportunities, weekend work as needed, company uniforms and PPE, and pathways for ongoing career development within a global building materials group.

Qualifications

• Experience in quarrying or mining is desirable.
• Ticket or training in heavy machinery is advantageous.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills essential.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment.
• Operate heavy machinery such as excavator, front end loader, dump truck and grader.
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling and general quarry maintenance.

Heidelberg Materials Australia is one of Australia's leading suppliers of heavy building materials to the construction industry. We produce aggregates, including crushed rock, sand, gravel and road base from a number of locations across Australia.

We are currently seeking a self-motivated and enthusiastic Quarry Operator to join the team at our Axedale Sand & Gravel Quarry in VIC, approx. 2 hours drive North of Melbourne CBD.

This is a full-time position with overtime and weekend work according to business needs.

In Your New Role With Us, You Will

• Carry out day to day operation and maintenance of various vehicles, plant, and equipment
• Operate a heavy machinery such as excavator, front end loader, dump truck & grader. (Experience preferred)
• Perform general labour activities including cleaning, hosing and shoveling and general quarry maintenance
